Program Information

Program Dates:            July 23 - August 18, 2012
                                     Monday-Friday 9:00-6:00

Public Performances:    August 17 & 18 8:00pm

Week #1:                      Classes in Ballet, Pointe & Variations, Men's work, Partnering, Contemporary and Choreographic Workshops
                                      
Weeks #2-4:                 Morning classes and afternoon rehearsals in preparation for Aug 18 perfromances

Tuition:                          $2000 - some scholarships available
                                      $300 non-refundable deposit due April 1, 2012 and balance of $1700 due May 15, 2012

Housing:                        $2500 - University of California San Diego (UCSD) residence halls
                                      $300 non refundable deposit due April 1, 2012 and balance of $2200 due May 15, 2012

                                      Includes 3 meals (bagged lunch) and trasportation to and from studio & theater (during performances)
                                      Must arrive July 22 and leave Aug 19, 2012
                                      Transportation to and from the airport will be available and coordinated in advance

DMBDP has arranged for double-occupancy rooms (with same gender student roommate, genders on separate floors) at UCSD residence halls located in the heart of la Jolla, nestled in aromatic eucalyptus groves overlooking the coastline.  UCSD is just 20 minutes form the airport and 10 minutes from the Del Mar Ballet studios.  Transprotation to and from the studios will be provided each day via a licensed charter-bus service which is included in the housing cost.  The UCSD residence halls are minutes from beaches, shopping, dining and other activities - students may use public transportation to explore the area during free time.  Public transportation information will be provided students at residence hall check-in. A Dance Project adult chaperone will ensure nightly check-in as well as provide students with information and assistance as requested.  Housing supervision will be minimal as the DMBDP is seeking mature and responsible dancers for this program.                                                                       

Weekend Activities:       TBA - thinking of a Disneyland trip or Seaworld or the San Diego Zoo

Auditions:                       San Diego - Saturday, January 21 1:00-3:00
                                      1:00 Check in, 1:30-3:00 Audition Class, No Charge, bring picture in 1st arabesque

                                       Video/DVD Auditions acceptable.  Please include 3-4 barre excercises and 4 center exercises including
                                       Adagio, Pirouettes, Petite Allegro and Grand Allegro.
